Boxscore Database Frequently Asked Questions:
How does Boxscore collect information about new and updated projects?
The bulk of Information comes directly from survey we send to the operators, licensors, engineering, and construction companies associated with each project. We also gather information through company press releases and wires, as well as, respected news sources
around the globe. All projects are checked and verified before we publish the projects in the Boxscore Data Base.
How do I know when a project has been updated recently?
The Operating Company column is highlighted by color. There is a legend at the top of the database which matches the colors with the specific time frame. Red = Last Week Green = Last Month Blue = Six Months Black = All others
Where can I find the latest new projects and project updates?
Go to the New Projects button located on the “Search Projects” page. Clicking on the “New Projects” button will allow the user to download the latest project updates into Excel or CSV format.
Does estimated completion time refer to the project as a whole or the status the project is currently in?
Depending on who supplies the information, whether it is the operating, engineering, licensing, or construction company, determines the estimated completion time. There is a direct correlation to the estimated completion time and the status of the project.
For example: if a hydrotreating unit is listed in the engineering stage with a completion time of 2010, this means the engineering should be completed in 2010.
Why can’t I access the “Project Updates” area with my log in information?
The Project Updates feature is a password secured feature reserved for personnel that have the permission to update their companies’ project data. Boxscore users do not have the ability to access this page unless they are the designated individual to update
their company’s projects. This is a security feature that restricts any individual Boxscore subscriber from editing projects within the data base.
Does the Boxscore Database track Press Releases?
Yes. There is a press release tab at the top of the main menu for Boxscore. Users can also track press releases by clicking on the magazine tab in the top left corner of the HP website. From there the user can scroll down to the HPIn Construction Section to
access press releases. •
What is the difference between a Quick and Customized Search?
Quick search allows user to filter information using four broad categories.
A customized search is much more specific and allows users to filter their search through exact specifications.
Can I select more than one category in the Quick Search function?
Yes. The quick search can be filtered by: Project type (Petrochem, Gas, Refining, etc…), Region (United States, Africa, Asia Pacific, Canada, Europe, Latin America or Middle East)
Company (Exxon Mobil, Technip, Air Liquide, etc…), Time Frame
(within 6 months, within 12 months). To filter searches with multiple categories, select the categories you wish to search by then click “Filter Combination Search” located at the bottom of the page.
How do I get specific construction information for a certain region?
Under Quick Search you can click on the second tab to select the particular region. Under a Customized Search the user can select the particular region they wish to search. Once the user selects the particular region they want by clicking the select
button they should click on the Next button at the bottom of the screen. The next page will bring them to the Company search. The user can narrow the projects down by a particular company or if they would like a broad picture then they should click the next
button again. The third page is the Project section. In this section the user can select a particular project or if they want a broad overview then they should click next. The 4th page helps the user narrow down the search by offering the option to search
the data by more options including; Status, Time, Capacity, or the particular construction project.
Can I save my searches?
Yes, as either an Excel File or CSV File.
Do you have information about future projects?
Boxscore allows the user to search by time frame and status which would allow the user to view the newest projects. Users can also visit the Press Releases for new project listings.
Are there contact details for projects?
The Boxscore currently does not have contact information per project. We are currently putting together this list and should have a comprehensive list sometime in 2011.
