China CNOOC's south China LNG terminal to start operation
BEIJING (Reuters) -- A new terminal operated by China National Offshore Oil Company (CNOOC) to receive LNG is expected to start full operations this year, according to a report on the state oil firm's website on Thursday.
The Quedong terminal in south China's Guangdong province has annual receiving capacity of 2 MMt.
The terminal this month completed regulatory clearances with authorities including Chinese customs and public security agencies and became qualified for receiving imports.
CNOOC is China's largest investor and operator of LNG terminals and also the largest importer of the super-chilled natural gas.
