G2X Energy contracts Johnson Matthey, Toyo for Lake Charles methanol

Gas-to-methanol group G2X Energy and strategic partner Proman Group have entered into an engineering services contract with Toyo Engineering Corp. for the detailed engineering needs on their world-scale methanol project located in Lake Charles, Louisiana. 
Toyo will be providing basic engineering for offsite and utility facilities and detailed engineering of the complete methanol facility. 
Once complete, the G2X facility, known as Big Lake Fuels Methanol Plant, will produce 1.4 MMtpy of commercial-grade methanol.

G2X and Proman Group also announced Tuesday that they have entered into license and engineering contracts with Johnson Matthey for the Lake Charles plant. Johnson Matthey will supply the technologylicense, basic engineering, catalyst and technical services for the project.

Construction on the Big Lake Fuels Plant will take approximately three years to complete, and it will add 2,500 direct and indirect jobs to the Lake Charles area during the construction period.

"We have worked extensively with the Proman Group in the past, and the Big Lake Fuels Methanol Plant will continue to build on our longstanding relationship.”
