Linde Engineering to provide LNG technology to the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim project
BP has signed a master agreement with Linde Engineering to license proprietary LNG technology to its Greater Tortue LNG project offshore of Senegal.
Linde offers its technology licensing services that are based around the company’s MFC2® (mixed fluid cascade service, which involves a dual mixed refrigerant process at different pressure levels that allows large LNG capacities without the need for parallel rotating equipment.
This contract also has tasked Linde with the manufacturing and supply of the related cryogenic coil wound heat exchangers.
An offshore project such as this one will benefit from efficient, compact equipment and technology such as this as the project progresses towards its anticipated 2022 start date.
