MFG Chemical upgrading all three Georgia manufacturing plants under “Project Odyssey”
Fresh off the completion of a multi- million upgrade of its Pasadena, Texas plant, MFG Chemical, a global leader in specialty and custom chemical manufacturing, is announcing another significant investment to upgrade safety and efficiency of production operations, this time for all three of its Dalton, Georgia manufacturing plants.
This upgrade, named Project Odyssey, will improve management systems related to process safety and key compliance workflows. It will also increase plant capacity and efficiency to meet increased demand coming from specialty chemical markets, including agriculture, asphalt, paints & coatings, graphic arts, lubricants, mining, personal care, soap and detergents, pulp and paper, and water treatment .
Improvements will include new cooling towers, new process control technology, upgraded reactor piping for improved pressure relief, and new safety instrumented systems.

Our recently upgraded Pasadena, Texas plant will now focus on meeting the needs of our oilfield customers, while our three Dalton, Georgia plants will produce specialty and custom chemicals to meet the growing needs of the Water Treatment, Coatings, Agriculture, Personal Care and other specialty markets served by MFG Chemical.”
