		06.17.2013
The project is part of Sasol’s planned world-scale ethane cracker and derivatives complex to be built in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The plant's low-density polyethylene (LDPE) capacity will be 420,000 tpy.
Sasol has chosen Japan-based Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co. to provide front-end engineering and design (FEED) services for a 420,000 tpy low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plant in Louisiana, the companies said on Monday.
The project is part of Sasol’s planned world-scale ethane cracker and derivatives complex to be established in Lake Charles, Louisiana.   ExxonMobil Chemical was selected by Sasol as the licensor for this LDPE project.
Mitsui noted that it has considerable experience with ExxonMobil's technology. It says that experience led to the selection of Mitsui as the project's FEED contractor.
