Oriental Energy Chooses Grace for UNIPOL Polypropylene Technology

W.R. Grace of Maryland recently announced that it has licensed its UNIPOL polypropylene process technology to Oriental Energy of China for an upcoming polypropylene plant. This would be the fourth polypropylene plant in recent years that Oriental Energy has utilized Grace’s proprietary UNIPOL technology for its output.

This new polypropylene plant will have a production capacity of 400,000 tons per year, similar to prior plants put into production by Oriental Energy. Oriental Energy already has the largest UNIPOL polypropylene operating capacity in China, and this partnership is expected to continue as there are plans to continue to construct additional polypropylene plants at locations in Maoming and in Ningbo for years to come.
