Toyo wins EPC work for new Sasol PE plant in US

Toyo Engineering was awarded a contract from Sasol to provide detailed engineering, procurement, module fabrication, and construction support services for a 450,000 tpy linear-low-density polyethylene plant (LLDPE).
The new LLDPE unit will be part of Sasol’s petrochemical complex under development in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
TOYO has been executing the front-end engineering design (FEED) services for this plant since 2013.
The LLLDE plant is scheduled for completion and startup in 2017.
Sasol is planning a world-scale ethane cracker with downstream derivatives including this LLDPE plant, applied the UNIPOLPE Process of Univation Technologies.
TOYO has vast experience in executing UNIPOL LLDPE projects. This award added the 23rd project to TOYO’s UNIPOLPE process track record. This award represents a strong foothold toward penetrating the US shale gas market and will continuously explore upcoming shale gas projects.
